Artiste Winery: Where Wine and Art Come to Life

Bion Rice’s deep-rooted winemaking heritage stretches back to the 1890s in Napa Valley. Fueled by his family legacy and a passion for art, Bion founded Artiste Winery in 2002, crafting what he calls “Art Inspired Wines.”

After honing his craft under renowned winemaker Daniel Gehrs, Bion became Head

Winemaker at Sunstone Winery in 1997. His love for creative expression shaped the first Artiste vintage in 1999, adorned with artwork by James-Paul Brown. This blend of art and wine evolved into the Artiste Winery we know today, where every bottle narrates its own story.

In 2003, Artiste’s Tasting Studio opened its doors, offering a one-of-a-kind fusion of wine and creativity. Here, guests can sip while painting, sketching, or even trying their hand at wine blending. Each wine is an emotional journey, a sensory masterpiece, and a limited-edition work of art.

At Artiste Winery, every sip is a brushstroke, and you’re invited to complete the masterpiece!
