Since 1951, Birkholm’s Bakery has been baking up joy, family style! Founded by Carl “Cookie” Sr. and Charlotte Birkholm, this beloved Solvang bakery has delighted generations with its authentic Danish recipes brought over from Denmark. In 1980, Carl Jr. and Elizabeth took the reins, keeping the family’s original recipes alive.

Now, Carl “Thomas” Birkholm—our third-generation baker—carries on the tradition with a fresh passion for the craft and a commitment to quality that would make “FarFar” proud. At Birkholm’s, we aren’t just baking; we’re honoring family, heritage, and community with every bite.

Located in the heart of Solvang, our family-owned and operated bakery brings you pastries, breads, and treats made with love and a personal touch. Other bakeries may serve pastries, but at Birkholm’s, you’re tasting a piece of history and a dash of Danish tradition!
