Join Us for the 44th Annual Day in the Country – October 12, 2024!
Get ready for a day of fun and festivities in the charming town of Los Olivos! We’re thrilled to celebrate our 44th Annual Day in the Country, and you’re invited! This free event has something for everyone, and admission is free!
Kick off the day at 10 AM with our delightful small-town parade, featuring local dance groups, antique cars, horses, and more! Find your perfect spot along Grand Avenue to watch the excitement unfold. Afterward, explore over 150 craft booths showcasing unique arts and handmade treasures.
Feeling festive? Try your hand at pumpkin carving, or indulge in a slice of heaven at the apple pie contest! We’ve got a designated kids’ zone, so there’s fun for all ages. For the adults, sip and savor the best local flavors at the beer garden and the all-new Los Olivos Wine Festival—the perfect way to celebrate our local winemakers.
Live music will keep the energy high, and food trucks will keep your cravings satisfied. Don’t forget to vote for your favorite scarecrow as part of our month-long Scarecrow Fest—from spooky to silly, there’s a scarecrow to make you smile!

Get Ready for the Buellton Fall Festival
– November 8-10, 2024
It’s time to celebrate fall with three days of family fun at the Buellton Fall Festival! From November 8th-10th, bring the whole family to **Avenue of the Flags** for carnival ride games, live music on two stages, and tasty bites from local food vendors. The best part? Admission is FREE!

Kick off the weekend with live music, thrilling carnival rides, and all your favorite festival eats!
Saturday, November 9th (12-10 PM)

40th Annual Vaquero Benefit
Santa Ynez Valley Historical Museum and Parks-Janeway Carriage House
Preview Sale, Gala Dinner & Live Auction
Doors Open At 4:30 P.M.
Honoring Joe Olla as the Vaquero of the Year at the Gala Dinner and Auction. Guests will have the first opportunity to view and purchase auction items showcased in the Carriage House while enjoying a selection of locally inspired appetizers. As dusk approaches, dinner will be served in the courtyard, paired with local wine and accompanied by music before the action begins with the live auction!
Santa Ynez Historical Museum & Carriage House
Meet Western Artisans, purchase their quality art, silver, leather goods and more. Watch appearances by dancers from the Maria Bermudez Flamenco dance studio and Vaquero cultural performances in the courtyard throughout each day. VFW Veterans Day Commemoration in Solvang
November 11
At the Solvang Veterans Memorial Building, the American Legion Post hosts a poignant commemoration of the six branches of the military rememberances. Usually the Santa Ynez Valley band and the Santa Ynez Valley Choral play and sing patriotic marching songs and speeches are presented by current and former military officers.
The event starts at 11 AM. 1745 Mission Drive, (HWY 246), Solvang.
